Welcome to Max
Basketball Training
My
passion behind training is to instill the right
things in life. It is my own personal belief
that this life is very temporary. We have a
choice of how we live it. We can choose to live
it for ourselves, or we can choose to live it
for the Lord. The main emphasis in MAX
Basketball Training is to "never
settle for less than all you have to give."
If our lives are truly measured in how we
glorify God with each and every moment, then we
shouldn't have any problem bringing our
proverbial "A Game" whenever we compete or
train.
I understand that not everyone's
belief system lines up with mine. I am fine with
that. I have to live my life and be obedient to
my driving force. All I can say is give me a
chance and see what I can do for you or your
athlete's life..|
Looking forward to
meeting you....
God bless, Andrew |

So Why
Training?
I guess I would
answer this one with another question? If you or
your child was learning to play an instrument or
take a big test, would you do it without the
proper instruction or preparation? Basketball is
the same way, it just hasn't really ever been
viewed in the same manner. Most parents and
players think if their child simply puts more
time into the game, the fundamentals will just
occur. But this is where the problems only get
worse by reinforcing them over and over.
Basketball, by nature, is a one of the most
accessible sports in the world. If you have a
hoop and a ball you can play. But with the
accommodation comes a lot of room for error.
Most kids start playing the game by shooting
from distances that are simply too far to for
their strength. This yields the dreaded two
handed follow through, elbows out and a release
point somewhere around chin level.
As a
player gets older and needs to change this to
become a legitimate player, this shooting style
won't cut it. So, one of two things happens. The
player either learns to shoot the right way and
becomes consistent and an asset to his/her team,
or they don't do anything and the game basically
passes them by.
And this isn't the only
area players struggle. The list also includes
footwork, defense, passing, ball handling and
body positioning. I can watch players at all
levels do fundamental things wrong.
The bottom line is this: The players who do
the least amount of fundamental things wrong,
are the ones who have the greatest success. And
then when you couple this with taking a player's
athleticism to it's peak level, you have the
entire package. This is what MAX BASKETBALL
offers you.
If YOU are looking to
minimize mistakes and teach proper muscle
memory, you've come to the right place. Call me
today and get started on becoming the best
player you or your child can be. |
