son Jake is in the seventh grade and is extremely passionate
about the game of basketball. After coaching and training
him since age 5, I came to the realization that in order for
Jake to take his game to the next level and fully realize
his potential I needed to find someone who could take him
there. I found what I was looking for when I met Andrew
McGarry of Max Basketball. Jake needed to develop a better
defensive mind set and game . Andy's one on one and small
group approach is just what Jake needed to refine his game
both defensively and offensively . With Andy's help Jake
learned to eliminate wasted effort in his ball handling,
defensive posture, and in his shot. This all is designed to
make his reactions quicker and smoother and give him that
competitive edge on the court. Jake has only been training
with Andy since mid July and already I see a marked

"My
family is forever grateful to Andrew McGarry. He starting
training my daughter (Destiny Stephens) about 2 and 1/2
years ago. She went from never playing basketball to a
player that made Grand Blanc High School varsity basketball
as a freshman. He continues to train her as she is entering
her sophomore year of high school. Due to the hard work and
training under Max Basketball, Destiny is viewed as one of
the top players of her class (2012) in the state of
Michigan. She is being recruited by numerous Division 1 and
Division 2 schools. As an AAU coach (Michigan Fire) and a
high school coach (Head coach of the freshman girls at
Pontiac High School) I have seen many trainers with many
avenues of teaching the game of basketball. I have not seen
anyone that has the passion that Andy has for teaching the
game of basketball. My opinion is Max Basketball is THE BEST
hands down. The keys to Andy's teaching is first and
foremost his knowledge of the game, and the most important
is his ability relay this knowledge to young athletes. I
highly recommend Max Basketball to any athlete that is
serious and committed to being the best athlete they can be.

"I
started training
with Andy
during the summer before my
senior year. My junior year I was originally cut from my High
School Varsity squad. So during the next off season I decided to
put a lot of time and work in. Before my senior
basketball season started I had gained between 3 and 6 inches of
vertical jump from the Vertimax training I went through at
Planet Hoops. On top of that I became a much better all around
basketball player from training with Andy. I went from
being cut my junior year to the M.V.P of the team my senior
season, but it didn’t stop there. Andy also helped me get a
scholarship to go play in college. I was never recruited to play
college ball but within
two
weeks after a skills camp I attended
at Planet Hoops I was receiving phone calls from 3 different
colleges. Thanks to the training and recruiting help I received
from Andy, I had a chance to play college ball and get
part of my schooling paid for. I kept training with them and
advancing my skills until I left for college. Now, I have just
finished my freshmen basketball season at Davenport University
and I thank the training and advice I received. If it wasn’t for
him, I
wouldn’t be playing college basketball. I appreciate

Goodrich High School and plays Varsity Basketball. Derek has
